NATO approved the first ever innovative cooperation program with Ukraine: details

Defense ministers of NATO member countries made a historic decision to launch an innovative cooperation program with Ukraine. It happened during a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, about what reported General Secretary of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg.

Key highlights:

  • The program envisages unique forms of cooperation aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense potential and adapting its military industry to NATO standards.
  • NATO will actively promote the integration of Ukraine, in particular through reforming the defense sector, improving procurement and developing the defense industry.
  • :A joint NATO-Ukraine analytical center will be established in Poland to deepen cooperation in the field of security and defense.
  • At the next meeting, the defense ministers will discuss increasing production capacity in the defense sector to support Ukraine.
