Уряд Сполучених Штатів оголосив про запровадження санкцій проти міжнародної мережі, що забезпечувала Іран компонентами для його нелегальної програми виробництва безпілотних літальних апаратів (БПЛА). Про це йдеться в офіційному повідомленні Офісу контролю за іноземними активами Міністерства фінансів США (OFAC). “Сьогодні OFAC у координації з Міністерством юстиції США запроваджує дії проти мережі у складі шести організацій та двох фізичних осіб, які базуються в Ірані, ОАЕ й Китаї та несуть відповідальність за купівлю компонентів БПЛА від імені іранської компанії Qods Aviation Industries (QAI)”, – йдеться в повідомленні. Зазначається, що QAI є ключовим виробничим підприємством у рамках іранської програми з розробки безпілотних систем. Крім того, міжнародна мережа займалася постачанням обладнання для інших оборонних структур Ірану, включаючи компанії Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA) та Shahid Bakeri Industrial Group (SBIG). “Розповсюдження Іраном БПЛА та ракет – як його терористичним ставленикам у регіоні, так і Росії для їх використання проти України – продовжує загрожувати цивільним особам, персоналу США, а також нашим союзникам і партнерам. Міністерство фінансів продовжуватиме руйнувати військово-промисловий комплекс Ірану та розповсюдження ним БПЛА, ракет і звичайних озброєнь, які часто потрапляють до рук дестабілізуючих осіб, у тому числі прихильників терористів”, – прокоментував санкції міністр фінансів США Скотт Бессент. Водночас Міністерство юстиції США висунуло кримінальні обвинувачення двом громадянам Ірану, а також іранській компанії Rah Roshd Company (Rah Roshd) у Східному окрузі штату Нью-Йорк. Стверджується, що обвинувачені вступили у змову з метою надання матеріальної підтримки Корпусу вартових Ісламської революції (КВІР), який визнано іноземною терористичною організацією. Окрім цього, вони були залучені до схеми закупівлі американських технологій для іранських ударних дронів.
