No more photocopies needed: Pension Fund introduces document sharing

Pension Fund of Ukraine announced, that from now on it is no longer necessary to provide photocopies or scanned copies of documents, such as a biometric passport, registration number of the taxpayer’s registration card (RNOKPP) or birth certificate, in order to receive most services in its territorial bodies. Instead, users can use electronic documents through the Action mobile application using sharing.

The document sharing procedure looks like this:

  1. The user opens digital documents in the “Action” application and generates a barcode.
  2. The employee of the Pension Fund enters the 13-digit code from the barcode into the information system.
  3. The user confirms the request via “Action.Signature” on his smartphone.
  4. The document is sent in the format of a signed PDF file to the Pension Fund system.

Digital documents from “Action” can be used for:

  • Appointment and calculation of pensions, subsidies and social benefits;
  • Issuance and receipt of pension certificates;
  • Obtaining certificates and extracts from registers;
  • Making changes to personal data in registers.

The system guarantees the security of data transmission using encrypted channels, and the transmission is carried out only with the consent of the user, complying with the requirements of the law on the protection of personal data.
