The State Register of Oil and Gas Wells has become operational in Ukraine

The State Geology and Subsoil Service of Ukraine has officially launched the State Register of Oil and Gas Wells, which contains information on more than 12,500 objects. This is reported on the website of the department.

“The State Register of Oil and Gas Wells has been commissioned. The purpose of its creation is to record wells according to a uniform order, as well as to provide enterprises, institutions and the public with reliable data about such wells. The register is an integral part of the Unified state electronic geo-information system for the use of subsoil resources, the message says.

The database contains data on more than 12,500 wells, including operational, preserved, monitoring and other wells.

Derzhgeonadra continue to work on digitalization of administrative services. From now on, subsoil users do not need to submit documents in paper form to register a well passport. All processing of information generated in the process of subsoil users’ activities will be carried out online, Oleg Hotsynets, the head of the state service, emphasized.

Information about wells on the balance sheet of companies engaged in oil and gas extraction, drilling and monitoring of their condition is included in the register. To enter the object into the system, the applicant submits an application, the required data and an electronic copy of the well passport through the Unified State Electronic Geoinformation System.

In case of changes during the operation of the well or when its owner or user changes, it is necessary to submit a corresponding application and updated information, after which the data in the register will be corrected within 15 working days. The formation of an extract from the register will take place exclusively through the electronic interface. As the message emphasizes, access to open information from the State Register of Oil and Gas Wells is free of charge.
