Nova Poshta launched the first gas cogeneration plant

“Nova Poshta”, the largest private logistics company of Ukraine, commissioned the first natural gas cogeneration plant as part of the energy independence program. About this reported the press service of the company.

“A new stage in the implementation of the program on energy independence has begun – the first cogeneration gas-piston plant with an electric capacity of 1 MW has been put into operation on the territory of the company’s hub in the west of Ukraine”, – the message says.

The total investment volume of “Nova Poshta” in energy autonomy has already amounted to 300 million hryvnias, and in 2025 the company intends to allocate an additional 150 million hryvnias. More than half of these 450 million hryvnias are investments in the development of gas generation.

The installation has an electrical capacity of 1 megawatt and functions according to the principle of combined production — it provides simultaneous generation of electricity and heat. By the end of 2025, the company plans to install six more such units in various regions, including in Kyiv.

We would like to remind you that in 2024, the company “Nova Energy” was founded within the NOVA group (“Nova Poshta”) with the aim of ensuring the fuel and energy independence of all enterprises of the group. Currently, the company already carries out wholesale deliveries of fuel, and later plans to start operations in the electricity supply market.
