Russia and Belarus plan to create their own AI based on “traditional values”

Russia and Belarus plan to create their own model of artificial intelligence, which will be based on “traditional values” and “will be understandable” for the citizens of both countries. This was reported by the State Secretary of the so-called “Union State” Serhii Glazyev.

He noted that currently young people in Russia and Belarus mostly use American and Chinese chatbots with artificial intelligence. The official warned of possible risks of “manipulation” by foreign systems and gave the example of “one of the famous chats” that “descended into racism, Nazism and the glorification of fascism”, likely referring to Grok, US billionaire Elon Musk’s chatbot, which spoke in favor of Adolf Hitler.

“The task is to develop our own AI that would be based on our traditional values, that could be trusted, relied on, and receive objective information.” – said Glazyev during the conference in Vitebsk.

He also emphasized the need to “educate creators” against the backdrop of “automation of all routine processes,” again emphasizing the importance of “traditional values.”

“And in order to create, people must understand the meaning of what they live for. Without relying on fundamental traditional values, this creativity can acquire a destructive, senseless, harmful character.” Glazyev added.
