Security guarantees for Ukraine were supported by the European Council
Ukraine has already concluded 17 security agreements within the framework of the declaration of support, which was approved in Vilnius in July 2023 by the countries of the “Group of Seven”. On June 25, the European Council supported the agreement on security guarantees from the EU.
“In the morning, the Council of the EU approved the draft joint security commitment between the European Union and Ukraine. I welcome this decision, as well as the opening of negotiations on the accession of Ukraine and Moldova to the EU.” – said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, Aja Lyabib.
The head of the Belgian Foreign Ministry also noted that the next summit of the European Council will give concrete answers regarding the scope and possibilities of support from the side of the European community.
“Belgium is actively preparing for the upcoming summit of the European Council, which will be held in Brussels at the end of this week. During this meeting, the European Council will discuss in detail and demonstrate our comprehensive support for Ukraine.”, – noted Aja Lyabib.
