The crisis management and civil defense headquarters of Latvia, the State Chancellery, relevant ministries, other state structures and operational services will be involved in the exercises.
The maneuvers are organized jointly with the headquarters of the multinational NATO division “North”. They will be attended by servicemen from the USA, Estonia, Lithuania, units of the headquarters of the multinational NATO brigade and the integration group of NATO forces in Latvia, as well as representatives of the command of the Canadian Armed Forces stationed in the country.
As part of the exercise, the Latvian Armed Forces will actively cooperate with the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) to provide situational monitoring, deterrence measures and strengthen the overall response capacity in the Baltic region.
The program also provides for joint training with British military engineers aimed at developing technical skills and improving cooperation during operations on the territory of Latvia. In general, about 12,000 servicemen from various countries and units of the Latvian National Guard are expected to participate in the exercises.
