South Korea receives permission from the US to build a nuclear submarine

US President Donald Trump announced that he has given South Korea permission to build a nuclear submarine. This is reports AP.

“Our military alliance is stronger than ever before, and on that basis, I have authorized South Korea to build a nuclear submarine to replace the old-fashioned, much less maneuverable diesel submarines they have now”, Trump said.

According to the American leader, Seoul also agreed to pay the United States $350 billion in tariff reductions, buy large volumes of American oil and gas, and to increase investments by South Korean companies in the United States to over $600 billion.

“South Korea has agreed to pay the United States $350 billion in reparations for the tariffs the United States has been charging it. In addition, they have agreed to buy our oil and gas in huge volumes, and investments in our country by wealthy South Korean companies and businessmen will exceed $600 billion,” — added Trump, calling his trip to South Korea “great”.

Let us recall that on October 29, Donald Trump met with South Korean President Lee Jae-myeon. Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to conclude an investment and trade agreement. South Korea also requested the provision of nuclear fuel for its own submarines.
