State Bureau of Investigation named the probable cause of the fatal road accident involving People’s Deputy Salamakha
The State Bureau of Investigation reported the preliminary circumstances of the road accident that killed Orest Salamakha, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People party. According to the investigation, he drove his quad bike into the oncoming lane and collided with a minibus.
The agency noted that the collision occurred on January 25 at around 6:15 p.m. . According to preliminary information, the passengers of the minibus were not injured. The MP himself received injuries incompatible with life, and after hospitalization he died in the hospital.
Currently, the issue of entering information into the ERDR and opening criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being resolved. SBI employees are already conducting priority investigative actions – inspecting the scene of the accident, interviewing eyewitnesses and seizing material evidence. The procedural management of the case is carried out by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
