The case of the helicopter crash with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was referred to the court
The case regarding the helicopter crash that occurred on January 18, 2023 in the city of Brovary has been referred to the court. The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) indicted five officials of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES). About it on August 29 reported DBR press office.
The indictment was sent to the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv. According to the investigation, the officials violated the rules of flight safety, which led to the tragic crash of the helicopter, on board of which were the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and other employees.
The investigation, which lasted until November 2023, ended with the indictment of:
- head of the Department of Aviation and Aviation Search and Rescue of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine;
- Acting commander of a special aviation unit;
- deputy commander for flight training;
- aviation squadron commander;
- the head of the flight safety service of the Special Aviation Detachment of the Operational Rescue Service of the Civil Protection Service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine from the city of Nizhyn, Chernihiv Region.
We will remind that on January 18, a terrible plane crash happened in Brovary, on the territory of a kindergarten. As a result of the fall of the helicopter, 14 people died, including one child. There were nine people on board the helicopter, including Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi, his first deputy Yevhen Yenin, State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lubkovich, assistants and crew members. They all died.
