The co-owner of ATB paid UAH 1.9 billion for the privatization of the Aerok factories confiscated from the Russians

The company of Gennady Butkevich, co-owner of the “ATB” chain of stores, paid 1.9 billion hryvnias for the privatization of the construction materials manufacturer “Aerok” confiscated from the Russians. The funds received have already been directed to the fund for liquidation of the consequences of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, informs press service of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
At the privatization auction, Butkevich’s Trident Geoinvest Ukraine company offered 1.9 billion hryvnias for the asset, the starting price of which was 965 million. Other auction participants included Ikram Javadov with an offer of 1.61 billion hryvnias (PIK LLP) and Tomas Fiala, who offered 1.54 billion hryvnias (DK BC1 LLP).
According to the terms of the privatization, the buyer is obliged to maintain the main profile of the company, to pay the debts to the employees and the state budget, and to refrain from staff reductions for six months. The company’s debts amount to 110.8 million hryvnias.
Earlier, the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court confirmed the legality of the nationalization of the Aerok company, the ultimate owner of which was the Russian LSR group, owned by oligarch Andriy Molchanov.
“Aerok” manages two factories for the production of aerated concrete, located in Obukhov and Berezan, Kyiv region. Before nationalization, the company was registered to the German “Aerok Investment Deutschland GMBH”, which belonged to Molchanov’s structures.
