The Government approved a list of measures to organize the burial of fallen defenders
The Cabinet of Ministers approved a list of measures regarding the organization and provision of burials of dead or deceased persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. About this it is said in Order No. 259 dated March 25.
According to the document, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs will be responsible for the organization of an honorable burial at the National Military Memorial Cemetery of those who died or died who defended the state, performed official duties and swore allegiance to the Ukrainian people.
The Ministry of Social Policy, regional and Kyiv city state administrations are tasked with ensuring the reimbursement of costs for the free burial of dead or deceased persons who have special merits for Ukraine and participated in the protection of its independence and territorial integrity.
Also, state administrations must organize compensation for the costs of burial of combatants and persons with disabilities as a result of the war.
In addition, specialized bodies should ensure the organization of the burial of servicemen who died or died during service, as well as police officers and representatives of the rank and file and senior staff of the State Criminal Enforcement Service who defended Ukraine. At the same time, reimbursement of costs for funeral services and installation of tombstones is provided.
