The government begins selecting candidates for the supervisory boards of strategic energy enterprises as part of the next stage of rebooting the management of the industry. The start of the process was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to the official, in accordance with the approved plan, the selection of candidates for the supervisory boards of LLC “Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine”, JSC “Ukrainian Distribution Networks”, JSC “Market Operator”, PJSC “Centrenergo”, “Energy Company of Ukraine”, NNEGC “Energoatom”, JSC “Ukrenergo” and JSC “Ukrhydroenergo”.
Yulia Svyrydenko noted that all information regarding the progress of the competitive selection will be published by the Ministry of Economy, and the completion of the formation of the new composition of the supervisory boards is expected in January. Also, according to her, a competition has already begun for four positions of independent members of the supervisory board of NJSC “Naftogaz”.
“Our main goal is to ensure transparency, efficiency and control in the management of energy sector companies”, – Svyrydenko emphasized.
