The ground forces began an investigation into the Russian attack on the Institute of Communication in Poltava

The command of the Ground Forces of Ukraine launched an investigation after Russian aggressors struck Poltava with two ballistic missiles on September 3. This attack resulted in the death of dozens of people. About this reported on the official Facebook page of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Russian missiles hit a military educational institution in Poltava. The command is conducting an investigation to establish whether all safety measures were observed to protect servicemen and students, and whether the management of the facility was properly organized during the constant missile threat.”, – stated in the message.
In connection with the tragedy, the military announced the strengthening of security measures at all strategic facilities of the country and increased requirements for the discipline of unit commanders.
“Together with the military leadership, we appeal to international partners to speed up the provision of defense assistance in order to reduce the risk of similar tragedies and push the Russian threat away from Ukrainian borders.”, — emphasized in the Ground Forces.
What is known about the attack on September 3
Russian troops struck Poltava with the help of two Iskander-M ballistic missiles. The explosions destroyed the buildings of the military communications institute and damaged a nearby hospital. Classes were in progress at the institute at the time of the attack, and the explosion occurred only a few minutes after the air raid alert was announced.
According to the Ministry of Defense, 51 people were victims of this attack, 15 more remain under the rubble. The number of wounded exceeds 235 people.
