In Ukraine, the lottery market, which has remained unchanged since 2013, will be restarted. It is expected that this will provide the state budget with additional tens of millions of hryvnias every year. This was reported by the press service of the PlayCity state agency, which is responsible for regulating gambling.
The agency emphasized that in recent years the lottery market actually operated outside state control and did not pay license fees, due to which the budget lost significant funds every year.
To update the rules, PlayCity, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, prepared new license conditions for operators. They determine the procedure for obtaining a license, requirements for operators and rules for their activities. The agency added that these funds are planned to be used to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities, including the purchase of drones for the Defense Forces.
