The Minister of National Unity announced the readiness of the state to offer a job with the possibility of booking from mobilization for men who are abroad
Recently, the issue of the return of citizens who were forced to leave the country due to the war has been actively discussed in Ukraine. The authorities strive not only to return them to the Motherland, but also to provide attractive conditions for work and life. President Volodymyr Zelenskyi has already emphasized the need to create economic and social incentives that will motivate Ukrainians to return and become part of the process of restoring the state. This issue includes the development of a whole set of measures, from employment to social guarantees.
Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov reported, that the state is ready to offer employment in defense enterprises with the possibility of reservation against mobilization for men who are currently abroad.
“Today, Ukraine, some industries, need specialists like air. This is both the defense industry and the military-industrial industry, as well as other industries. We have a shortage of professionals, we have a shortage of specialists, and Ukraine is ready to reserve most of them from military service. That is why we plan to deploy such centers that will help in finding vacancies in Ukraine and in the country where Ukrainians are staying.
These job centers will be able to provide services and encourage you to choose one or another professional path in Ukraine. I am sure that Ukrainian men seek this, they want to provide benefits, if he is not ready to continue his path in the military direction, he can offer himself as a specialist – and for this there is a certain mechanism, you just have to use it.” – noted Chernyshov.
He added that the decision to return should be voluntary and personal for every Ukrainian. Compulsion to return is not foreseen, because the state wants to attract citizens through the creation of favorable conditions, and not through pressure. However, for this, it is necessary to propose specific mechanisms that will make life in Ukraine competitive compared to what citizens have abroad.
For this purpose, the authorities plan to create special centers that will deal with the employment of Ukrainians. These centers will work both in Ukraine and abroad to make the job search process as easy as possible for those who are ready to return. They will not only provide information about vacancies, but also advise citizens about their professional opportunities, offering reservation mechanisms from mobilization to work in strategically important industries.
The Ukrainian authorities understand that employment alone is not enough to convince citizens to return. Therefore, additional measures are being developed to ensure social protection, support families and create prospects for professional and personal growth. In this context, the possibility of tax benefits, retraining programs, providing access to housing, education and medicine for those who return is also discussed.
We will remind, during the meeting dedicated to this issue, President Zelenskyi emphasized that it is important to create conditions that will allow Ukrainians not only to return, but also to feel part of the country’s recovery. That is why measures are being discussed that will promote economic stability and improve the quality of life. Special attention is paid to young specialists who have a high potential for the development of innovative projects and strengthening of the state economy.
