The Ministry of Education launched the digital platform “Education for Life”

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with the World Bank, within the framework of the LEARN program “Enhancing the accessibility and sustainability of education in times of crisis in Ukraine” and in partnership with the online education studio EdEra launches the digital platform “Education for Life”.

“This is the first comprehensive digital resource that combines materials for teachers’ work in one place. On the platform, you can quickly find state standards for all levels of education, educational programs, conceptual foundations of industries, selections of exercises for the development of specific competencies, examples of cross-curricular integration and assessment tools”, – the ministry’s statement says.

The platform offers practical examples and ideas for implementation: how to combine different educational fields, what exercises to use, and how to form cross-cutting skills. It does not dictate a single correct approach, but rather provides teachers with the opportunity to build their own teaching style based on examples, taking into account the needs of students and the characteristics of the teacher himself. It is a tool for professional creativity that combines state standards with real school teaching practices.

Conceptual frameworks have been created for each of the nine educational fields, which define the goal, structure, key competencies, and teaching features. The platform also contains all the necessary documents: state standards for primary, basic, and high schools, as well as typical educational programs.

For the first time, an interactive standard has been developed — a single space where you can track students’ progress throughout their studies. It demonstrates examples of tasks that combine key competencies, cross-curricular skills, and specific outcomes. Its goal is to help teachers organize competency-based learning and consistently plan the educational process, based on state standards.

The platform also shows how cross-curricular skills can be developed — reading comprehension, learning ability, critical thinking, initiative, entrepreneurship, environmental literacy, social, civic, and health-preserving competencies — in different educational areas. A separate section is devoted to I-guidelines that help children better understand themselves, their abilities, and needs.

In addition, the resource contains a selection of exercises and tasks for the development of specific competencies — from critical thinking to creativity. The teacher can choose exercises according to the goals of the lesson and the grade level, forming his own teaching methodology.
