The peace agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation will include issues on five territories: Steve Witkoff

A peace agreement regarding Ukraine will provide for the settlement of the issue of five territories. This was announced by the special representative of US President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, summarizing his negotiations with Vladimir Putin, which took place last week. About this informs Bloomberg.

The Special Representative described the meeting as “convincing” and noted that possible steps to end the war in Ukraine and “lead to business opportunities” were discussed.

According to Witkoff, the negotiations lasted almost five hours. At the end of the meeting, he claims, Putin allegedly called for “permanent peace.” He also noted that “the key to the general agreement revolves around the ‘five territories'”. At the same time, Witkoff did not provide any additional details.

“This peace agreement is about these so-called five territories, but it’s much more… I think we could be on the verge of something that would be very, very important for the world as a whole.”, – emphasized the special representative of Trump.

He also said that he raised the topic of NATO, in particular the principle of operation of Article 5, according to which an attack on one of the members of the Alliance is considered an attack on all. It is noted that US-Russian relations were also discussed during the negotiations. Witkoff said he sees an opportunity to change Russian-American relations with “some very compelling commercial opportunities.”

We will remind that the meeting between Putin and Witkoff took place on April 11 in St. Petersburg. The talks took place in the building of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library and lasted more than four hours. The representative of the President of the Russian Federation Kyrylo Dmitriev described the meeting as productive. Neither the American nor the Russian side provided any other details.
