The Prime Minister of Great Britain found himself at the center of a scandal due to undeclared purchases for his wife

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer could face an investigation after he failed to declare clothing purchases for his wife Victoria that were funded by his financial donor. About this informs Times newspaper.

According to the publication, Starmer broke parliamentary rules by failing to disclose that multi-millionaire businessman and Labor Party donor Wahid Alli was covering the cost of expensive clothes for his wife. Reporters also note that Alli provided Starmer’s wife with a personal consultant on the choice of clothes both before and after Keir Starmer became prime minister.

The Prime Minister’s Office declined to disclose the total value of the gifts made to Victoria Starmer and the exact timing of their receipt, but newspaper sources said that information would be released at a later date.

According to the British media, Wahid Alli donated more than half a million pounds to the Labor Party. He also gave Starmer himself clothes and accessories worth 18.6 thousand pounds and paid for his accommodation during the parliamentary elections for 20 thousand pounds. The prime minister declared these expenses, but the expenses for clothes for his wife remained private.
