The Prosecutor of the SAPS demands, through VACS, the confiscation of assets worth more than 3 million hryvnias, which are used by the Chief Medical Officer of Ukraine, Ihor Kuzin
The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court demanding the confiscation of assets worth more than 3 million hryvnias, which are used by the Deputy Minister of Health and Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Ihor Kuzin. This is reported by the Anti-Corruption Center.
These are two plots of land and two residential buildings in the Kyiv region, purchased by him in 2021-2022. After analyzing the income and expenses of the SAP official, it came to the conclusion that the acquisition of this real estate cannot be explained by legitimate sources.
In connection with this, the prosecutor appealed to the court with a claim to declare the assets unfounded and their recovery in favor of the state. VAKS has already seized the specified real estate objects. Currently, the SAP is actively expanding the use of the civil confiscation mechanism, increasingly using it against officials with questionable assets.
We would like to remind you that on September 11, the prosecutor of the SAP, relying on the materials of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the evidence collected together with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court with the demand to declare as unsubstantiated assets in the amount of 7,177,935 hryvnias, which are used by the family of the former head of the Darnytsk RDA, Yaroslav Laguta.
