On the night of September 20, Russia launched a massive attack against Ukraine, launching 40 cruise and ballistic missiles and about 580 drones of various types. reported this by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Dnipro and Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, Zaporizhzhia, communities of Poltava, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv Oblasts were under attack. The enemy’s target was our infrastructure, residential areas, civilian enterprises. In Dnipro, a direct hit of a rocket with a cluster munition into a high-rise building was recorded. As of now, it is known about dozens of wounded as a result of shelling. Unfortunately, three people died. My condolences to family and friends, – said the head of state.
The body of a 46-year-old deceased man was discovered during firefighting in a private house in the Dunayevets community in the Khmelnytsky region. Two more local residents were injured and sought medical help. In total, two houses were destroyed and about twenty residential structures were damaged in the region.
In the Kyiv region, destruction was recorded in Boryspil, Obukhiv, and Buchan districts, where private homes, garages, and cars were damaged.
In the Mykolaiv region, strikes by ballistic missiles and drones resulted in damage to industrial facilities in Mykolaiv, the destruction of a farm in the Sniguriv community, as well as residential buildings and civilian transport.
In the Odesa region, as a result of shelling, a warehouse of a farm caught fire and a building where agricultural machinery was stored was destroyed.
“Each such strike is not a military necessity, but a deliberate Russian strategy to intimidate civilians and destroy our infrastructure. That is why a strong international response is needed,” added Zelensky.
