In the afternoon of April 22, Russian troops carried out an airstrike with guided bombs on the city of Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, one person died, and more than 20 others were injured. About this informs Ivan Fedorov, head of Zaporizhzhya OVA.
“As a result of an enemy attack by Russians in the Zaporizhzhia region, a fire broke out in one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia”, – says the message.
According to available information, one of the aerial bombs hit an infrastructure object, the other hit a residential area and a building. According to preliminary data, one person died, 23 people were injured. All victims are provided with the necessary medical assistance.
“Four children were injured as a result of the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia. The boys, 16, 14, 4 and 3 years old, are now in the hospital. Their condition is assessed by doctors as moderate. The children are being given all the necessary help,” – noted Fedorov.
In the State Emergency Service clarified, that as a result of the attack, several nine-story buildings were partially destroyed and an educational institution was damaged. Cars also caught fire. Rescuers are evacuating residents from one of the damaged buildings. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service work on site and provide assistance to the affected citizens. Firefighters promptly extinguished the fire and are conducting search and rescue operations. Elimination of the consequences of enemy airstrikes continues.
