The Russian military is trying to reach Kupyansk through underground tunnels: DeepState

Russian soldiers are trying to make their way to Kupyansk through underground tunnels. This is reported by DeepState.

Entrances to the pipe are located in the area of the First Estuary. For movement, the invaders use specially made beds on wheels, and where the height allows, they use electric scooters.

According to analysts, the journey to the outskirts of Kupyansk can take about four days. Along the route there are places for rest and stockpiles of provisions. This allows organized groups of the enemy to reach Radkivka without significant losses, and from there advance south into the forest they control. Then there is a dispersal in Kupyansk with access to the railway.

“The lack of forced evacuation of local residents, who are now in the same houses as the enemy, creates problems, which makes it impossible to carry out damage in many places. In addition, locals share food with them”, – explain Deep State analysts.

For the first time, Russian troops used underground tunnels to get behind Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka in January 2024. The second use of this tactic took place in March 2025, when they tried to approach Suja in the Kursk region through the gas pipeline.

“Yes, sabotage and assault groups of the enemy moved along the branch of the gas pipeline in order to gain a foothold on the outskirts of the city of Suja. The enemy’s forces were detected in a timely manner by the air reconnaissance units of the DSHV”, – noted in the Communications Department of the Airborne Assault Troops Command.
