The SBI uncovered new hidden property of Medvedchuk and Kozak’s relatives

The court seized and handed over to the National Agency for Search and Asset Management (ARMA) another batch of property belonging to the company “Betonbud”, which belongs to relatives of former people’s deputies Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak. This was reported by the press services State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) and Office of the Prosecutor General.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the company had unaccounted assets on its balance sheet, including a hangar for storing bulk materials, concrete production equipment, warehouses and offices. The total value of these assets is estimated at almost 16 million hryvnias.
According to the information of the investigators, the enterprise that manufactures bricks in the Lviv region and is controlled by the brothers of the former deputies evaded paying taxes. According to the materials of the investigation, the company submitted unreliable data on the volume of production and sale of products to the financial statements. The actual indicators were much higher than the declared ones, which led to non-payment of taxes in the amount of more than 75 million hryvnias to the state budget.
Due to the fact of tax evasion, the owners of the enterprise were notified of suspicion under part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
We will remind that in June and July of this year, the law enforcement officers transferred to the ARMA administration a complete property complex, which included three plots of land, three non-residential premises, four cars, six units of special equipment, a production workshop for the manufacture of bricks, corporate rights and other property of four enterprises . The value of these assets is estimated at over 600 million hryvnias.
All these assets are also related to the close circle of sanctioned ex-deputies Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak, who are under sanctions for their pro-Russian activities.
The investigation is being carried out by employees of the Territorial Department of the Security Intelligence Service in Lviv, under the operational support of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region. Law enforcement officers continue to work to identify other possible assets and property that may be hidden to avoid liability to the state.
