The second session of the Forum of Military Chaplains took place in Ukraine

The second session of the Forum of Military Chaplains of Ukraine was held on the territory of the Saint Michael’s Golden-Top Monastery in Kyiv. This is reported by the press service of the State Government.

The event, organized by the Synodal Department of Military Clergy of the OCU together with the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, gathered more than 200 military chaplains from different parts of the country.

The forum began with a joint prayer for Ukraine and its soldiers, led by Metropolitan Epiphany. In his address to the participants, he emphasized the importance of spiritual care for the Ukrainian military and the development of chaplain service in the army.

“Chaplains form a connection between God and the warrior. This connection helps them to make sure that they are not alone in the fight against the enemy,” Epiphanius emphasized.

The event was moderated by the head of the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, lieutenant colonel of the chaplaincy service Kostyantyn Kholodov.

“In these stormy times, the well-being of the country depends on the strength of spirit of our soldiers and their families. They are the ones who stand guard over our peace, every day and every night holding back the onslaught of the enemy who is poisoning our land and souls. The chaplain’s task is round-the-clock support for our defenders and daily prayers to God for our victory,” he emphasized.

Chaplains of the National Guard, Armed Forces, Special Operations Forces and other units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine took part in the forum.
