The White House speaks about Ukraine’s victory plan: ‘Support will continue on the battlefield’

On October 16, the White House officially commented on the Ukrainian victory plan, especially regarding the first point about inviting Ukraine to NATO. US representatives have confirmed that they will continue to provide military support to Ukraine. About this stated White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre during a briefing.
“I’ve made it very clear that we’re going to let the Ukrainians talk about their plan to win. It’s their plan, and we’re going to give them an opportunity to talk about it. What we’re going to continue to do is show our support for the Ukrainians on the battlefield as they continue to repel the Russian aggression. I have nothing more to share.”Jean-Pierre noted.
On October 16, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the victory plan, which consists of five key points, in the Verkhovna Rada. The first of them concerns the invitation of Ukraine to NATO even before the end of the war, which, according to Zelenskyi, will demonstrate the determination of the partners and confirm Ukraine’s position in the new security system.
The victory plan, as Zelenskyy noted at the end of August, includes quick solutions to which Ukraine hopes to receive a response from partners between October and December 2024. The president also discussed the plan during meetings with key world leaders, including the prime ministers of Great Britain, Italy and the German chancellor.
According to the Japanese agency Kyodo News, the victory plan provides for a specific list of military resources necessary for victory, as well as the possibility of striking Russia with long-range missiles.
