Trump instructed to fire all US prosecutors of the “Biden era”

February 19 Donald Trump commissioned The US Department of Justice to fire all prosecutors appointed during the presidency of Joe Biden. He believes that the department has become too politicized and has been used as a tool of pressure against him.

“I have ordered the termination of all U.S. Attorneys remaining from the ‘Biden era’. We must immediately ‘clean house’ and restore trust. America’s golden age must have a fair justice system – it begins today.” – Trump said.

In the US, it is common practice to fire prosecutors appointed by previous administrations. At the same time, Trump himself fired several federal prosecutors who were investigating cases related to him shortly after taking office.

It will be recalled that earlier the inspector general of the US Agency for International Development was dismissed after the publication of a report by his office that revealed the negative consequences of the USAID staff reduction by the Trump administration.
