President-elect Donald Trump announced about the launch of its own cryptocurrency called $TRUMP. On the first day, 200 million coins will be available to users, and in three years the total supply will reach one billion.
Already in the first hour after launch, the capitalization of memcoin $TRUMP exceeded three billion dollars, and after an hour and a half, it reached more than four billion. The project’s website is decorated in Trump’s signature style and includes his famous phrase “Fight, fight, fight”, said after the assassination attempt in the summer of 2024.
Although Trump previously called cryptocurrencies a scam, his attitude changed during the election campaign. He promised to turn the US into the “cryptocurrency capital of the world” and create a national bitcoin reserve.
We will recall that in early December 2024, Trump announced his intention to appoint cryptolobbyist Paul Atkins as the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, which is considered one of the main opponents of cryptocurrencies.
