Trump’s closest ally suggests Ukraine give up territories to end war

Ukraine must give up part of its territories to end the war with Russia, Donald Trump-backed Republican presidential candidate JD Vance said on air channel News Nation.

Ukrainians will have to make this decision… They are already too exhausted“, Vance noted.

He added that such sentiments are already appearing in conversations with Ukrainian officials, especially in private conversations. According to him, many of the Ukrainian leaders are beginning to realize that the situation cannot continue indefinitely, as the country lacks resources – people, weapons and finances.

While Vance acknowledged that Russia should not have started the war, he insists that both sides want it to end. The role of the United States, in his opinion, is to conduct negotiations and determine what is needed to reach a compromise.

Earlier, on September 12, Vance presented Trump’s plan to end the war in Ukraine, which involves leaving the front line as a demarcation line and creating a demilitarized zone in the occupied Ukrainian territories.

This approach caused a reaction among Ukrainian politicians: people’s deputy Yehor Chernev noted that reports about Ukraine’s readiness to cede part of its territory for NATO membership are beginning to appear in the Western media. According to Chernev, this is part of attempts to “push” Kyiv to negotiations.
