Ukrnafta joined the UN Global Compact

“Ukrnafta” joined the UN Global Compact — a local network of the largest international initiative that unites leading Ukrainian and global companies around common principles of sustainable development. About this reported press service of the enterprise.

“A modern company in today’s world must understand its responsibility both to society and to the environment, and clearly adhere to the highest standards in its work”, — said the director of the company, Serhiy Koretskyi.

According to him, participation in the UN Global Compact in Ukraine will help Ukrnafta to adhere to the 10 key principles of this initiative and to work on the implementation of 17 sustainable development goals aimed at creating a strong, responsible and sustainable society.

It is, in particular, about the protection of human rights, fair working conditions, compliance with environmental standards and zero tolerance for corruption. Thus, “Ukrnafta” once again confirmed the chosen course after the company’s transfer under state management.

The company emphasized that they work transparently, strengthen international cooperation, implement the highest standards of corporate governance according to OECD recommendations and adhere to global ESG principles.
