Up to 50 thousand dollars of support: Ukrainians can receive financial assistance from Denmark
Denmark has become one of the countries that has been supporting Ukrainian refugees and war-affected citizens since the first days of the war. Many Ukrainians have found refuge in this country, given the opportunity to work, study and integrate into a new environment. The Danish government and non-governmental organizations not only provide humanitarian aid, but also create economic support programs aimed at restoring business in Ukraine.
Currently, one of the largest non-governmental organizations in Denmark – the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) – has launched a financial assistance program for Ukrainians who do business in the Mykolaiv region. This information made public the press service of the DRC on its Facebook page.
Within this initiative, entrepreneurs can receive grants from 20 to 50 thousand dollars for the development of their business. The financing is provided with the support of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is aimed at strengthening the economic stability of the region.
This program is an important support for local entrepreneurs who want to scale their business and contribute to the reconstruction of Mykolaiv Oblast. Companies operating in the following areas can receive financial assistance:
- agricultural sector and processing of agricultural products;
- logistics and maintenance of agricultural infrastructure;
- production of goods and services for the local market;
- providing the population with critical resources such as water and solid fuel;
- creating new jobs and promoting the economic development of the region.
Grant applications are accepted until February 28, 2025. The final amount of financial support will be determined based on the submitted business plan. It is worth noting that submitting an application does not guarantee receiving a grant – the organization carefully selects candidates in accordance with established criteria. If the limit of applications is reached, registration may be closed early.

The DRC program is one of the examples of international support for Ukrainians during the war. Denmark continues to show solidarity with Ukraine, helping not only refugees, but also those who seek to rebuild their country, creating new economic opportunities in the affected regions.
