US military strikes another drug trafficking vessel in the Pacific Ocean
The US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) reported another strike on a drug trafficking vessel in the Pacific Ocean. The military announced the destruction of the vessel, which, according to them, was used for drug trafficking in the eastern part of the water area. As SOUTHCOM informs on the X network, the operation was carried out by the Southern Spear Task Force under the orders of Commander General Francis Donovan.
The report states that a “lethal kinetic strike” was delivered to the vessel. The US military claims that the vessel was allegedly operated by structures recognized as terrorist organizations, and its route coincided with known drug trafficking routes in the region.
“Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was transiting known drug trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific Ocean and was participating in drug trafficking operations. During this operation, three male narco-terrorists were killed. None of the US military personnel were injured,” SOUTHCOM said.
The command did not specify other details about the type of vessel or its flag.
