Volodymyr Zelenskyy has imposed sanctions on propagandists and companies that support the Russian military-industrial complex

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed two decrees, which put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures.

The first decree concerns pro-Russian propagandists – 14 individuals who justify Russia’s armed aggression, deny the occupation of Ukrainian territories and are financed by profits from the coal industry in the temporarily occupied territory of Donbas.

The second decree introduced sanctions against manufacturers and suppliers of the Russian military-industrial complex – 10 individuals and 31 legal entities, residents of Russia, China and Iran. Among them are companies, their managers and owners involved in the supply of equipment and components to Russia in circumvention of sanctions. Restrictive measures have also been extended to state bodies and legal entities of Iran that supplied military products to Russia.

“Since the beginning of the year, we have synchronized 11 packages with our partners. Six with our colleagues from the European Union. Also the USA, Canada, Great Britain. Next month we will complete the synchronization. We will fulfill all our plans and obligations. For us now it is very important that there is synchronization between the G7 countries,” the President of Ukraine noted during a briefing.

Ukraine continues to work on introducing new sanctions steps and coordinating sanctions with partners – both within Ukrainian jurisdiction and in the jurisdictions of partner states. Among the main priorities are preventing the supply of components for its military-industrial complex to Russia, reducing revenues from oil sales, combating the shadow fleet and countering Russian propaganda.
