WhatsApp launches Writing Help, an AI tool for editing messages
The WhatsApp messenger has introduced a new feature based on artificial intelligence called Writing Help, which will allow users to rewrite messages, change their tone or correct text. At the same time, privacy remains protected: Meta Private Processing technology allows you to receive hints from AI without accessing the messages themselves, reports TechCrunch.
Writing Help offers several options for updated text depending on the selected style. The user can ask to make the message more formal, add a humorous touch or simply rephrase it.
Meta positions Writing Help as an alternative to third-party services, in particular ChatGPT, emphasizing that WhatsApp aims to keep user communication within its own application and offers convenient tools for writing messages.
Access to the function is opened through a special icon in the form of a pencil, which appears when creating a message. According to Meta, Writing Help will gradually become available to all users of the messenger.
At the same time, WhatsApp announced other innovations aimed at security, including tools to detect fraudulent messages in private and group chats. The security review system is activated if a user is added to an unknown group by people who are not part of their contact list.
