10,000 euros for Ukrainian doctors are planned to be collected at the “Easter Gardens” in Vienna

Ukrainians living in Austria are invited to the “Easter Groves” festival. This is a unique combination of a cultural event with a traditional theme and a charity event. The event is scheduled for next weekend. The goal of the organizers of the “Easter Raids” is to raise funds for the rescue of Ukrainians in war zones.

“Our goal: to collect 10,000 euros for the purchase of ambulances that will go to the front line of Ukraine to save the lives of our defenders. Traditionally, we will cooperate with the charitable foundation “Workshop of Mercy” by Myroslava Polets”, – the organizers note – a space for meetings of Ukrainians Open Space Barbareum and the Ukrainian Church of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara in Vienna.

The event will take place in the courtyard of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The event is scheduled for Sunday, May 12. “Easter groves” will last from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In the program of the event, the groves themselves are traditional spring songs and round dances, in which everyone will be able to spin. In addition, choral groups will perform at the festival. Also in the program:

• Feasting on traditional Ukrainian food from Ukrainian housewives.
• Possibility to buy handmade souvenirs from handicraft masters.
• Musical performances by talented singers and choirs.
• Animators, workshops and entertainment for children.
• Possibility to buy new and old books in Ukrainian.
• New acquaintances and networking.

Entry to the event is free. However, there is a desirable dress code – visitors are asked to come in embroidered shirts, since May 16 is the International Embroidery Day.

During the event, voluntary donations will be collected to help medics in the war zone.

We will remind, on May 19 in the capital of the Czech Republic they plan to hold a thematic festival – Vyshyvanka Fest. Ukrainians in Prague are invited to attend the event, which includes a concert program, craft fair, traditional dishes, film screenings and entertainment for children.
