13 regions of Ukraine have begun gradual connection of heating supply to residential buildings

On October 28, 13 regions of Ukraine have already begun gradually connecting heating supplies to residential buildings. This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.

The issues of preparation and the course of the heating season were discussed during a briefing, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Kostyantyn Kovalchuk, Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolisnyk, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky, and Chairman of the Board of Ukrenergo of Ukraine Vitaliy Zaychenko.

“This heating season started with unprecedented attacks by our enemy on energy and heat generation facilities. Housing, heat and water supply and sewage facilities suffer daily from enemy shelling. We predict a difficult winter, but despite this, the technical readiness of municipal heat supply enterprises allows us to start the heating season. I would like to thank all communities that approached the beginning of the heating season with sufficient caution and economy”, — noted Kostyantyn Kovalchuk.

As of today, more than 55% of social infrastructure facilities have already been connected to heat supply. Among them are more than 5 thousand kindergartens, about 6 thousand educational institutions and more than 2 thousand medical institutions. Heat is gradually being supplied to the residential sector: partial connection has now been made in 13 regions, and the process will continue in other regions.

More than 17,500 boiler rooms and 17,000 kilometers of heating networks have been prepared for the start of the heating season. Of these, about 340 kilometers have been replaced, and boilers have also been overhauled and upgraded.
