As a result of the explosion of a Russian drone, which occurred in a field in the Malozahoryvsky Starostynsky District of Chernihiv Oblast, two employees of the agricultural enterprise “Druzhba Nova” born in 2004 and 1993 died. Another man born in 1973 received shrapnel wounds and was taken to Borznyanska City Hospital, where he was provided with medical assistance, the Chernihiv Oblast Police reported. It is preliminary known that three employees of an agricultural enterprise approached the drone found in the field, after which an explosion occurred. Unfortunately, two people died. The injured person was hospitalized. Currently, the police are establishing the circumstances of the incident, and the event will be given the appropriate legal qualification. The police remind citizens of the need to be extremely careful when detecting any ammunition, drones or suspicious objects. It is strictly forbidden to touch the object and move it, ”, — the message says.
The company’s employees were harvesting corn and drove a tractor to the unexploded drone, stopping about a few meters from it. Three units of agricultural machinery were damaged as a result of the detonation.
“We are informed about mine safety throughout the community, these lessons are held at school, they warn everywhere that you should not approach and take suspicious things. The employees also undergo a briefing every time before going out into the field. All people have been warned, all people have been informed, — said the head of the Borznyanska community, Larisa Osadchuk.
