Mykhailo Fedorov announced personnel changes in the Ministry of Defense

The head of the Ministry of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov, officially announced about personnel rotations aimed at increasing management efficiency. Mstislav Banik took the position of Deputy Minister, and Yuriy Mironenko was appointed Inspector General. The relevant decrees have already been signed by the head of the defense institution.

Mstislav Banik in his new position will focus on reforming the defense procurement system to make it as transparent as possible. Previously, he had significant experience working in the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, where he coordinated the development of the “Diya” platform.

Within the structure of the defense department, the official was responsible for the implementation of the “Army+” and “Reserve+” services. In addition, he has direct combat experience, having gone from a private soldier to an officer and engaged in the development of unmanned aviation units.

“Mstislav Banik’s main task is to create a system where every resource is used effectively, and procurement processes are devoid of corruption risks”, — noted Mykhailo Fedorov.

Yuriy Mironenko, in his role as Inspector General, will be responsible for objective monitoring of the state of affairs in the units. His work involves analyzing the actual execution of orders and formulating recommendations for prompt adjustment of the department’s plans. Prior to this appointment, he worked as Deputy Minister of Defense, dealing with the implementation of the DELTA management system and other technological solutions based on battlefield data.

“The new team must ensure the rapid scaling of technological innovations and guarantee the result that our military will feel on the front lines. We strive for each management decision to undergo thorough verification in practice through the General Inspectorate Institute,” the head of the ministry emphasized.

These appointments take place against the backdrop of a general strengthening of the digital component in the Ukrainian military. In particular, at the beginning of the year, the launch of a special environment for testing artificial intelligence based on real combat data was announced. Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to introduce positions of specialists responsible for digital transformation at all levels.

It is expected that the updated leadership will help synchronize the work of the defense cluster with the real needs of the front. The priority remains the introduction of innovations and optimization of the ministry’s internal processes to achieve strategic goals.
