A criminal authority was arrested in Brovary, who threatened a police officer with a weapon (video)

In the city of Brovary, Kyiv region, the police detained a 50-year-old man who, in a drunken state, committed hooliganism, rushed at law enforcement officers, and then threatened them with a weapon.

The figure turned out to be a previously convicted local resident, criminal authority Viktor Zhuravel. He was charged with hooliganism, threatening to kill a police officer and causing bodily harm. According to these articles of the Criminal Code, he faces up to five years in prison. He is currently in a detention center.

It is noted that on the evening of May 8, an inebriated 50-year-old Zhuravel committed hooliganism in the institution.  When the police arrived at the call, he continued to commit hooliganism, began to rush at them, finally took out a weapon and threatened the law enforcement officers.

Police officers arrested the man and seized the weapon. The investigators announced that the detainee was suspected of committing the crimes provided for in Part 3 of Art. 296, part 1 and 2 of Art. 345 KKU. In the near future, the court will choose a preventive measure for the detainee.
