A criminal case may be opened against the daughter of Iryna Farion: what is the reason
Sofya Semchyshyn wished Vyacheslav Zinchenko "to die in prison" during the trial for choosing a preventive measure.
The suspect in the murder of linguist Iryna Farion, 18-year-old Vyacheslav Zinchenko, received protection due to threats that, according to lawyer Ihor Sulima, came from the daughter of the deceased, Sofia Semchyshyn. Sulima told about this in interview Ukrainian news.
During the court hearing on the selection of a preventive measure, Farion’s daughter wished Zinchenko to “die in prison” and promised that she would do everything possible for this.
“Threats of murder and rape can be prosecuted. Let her say it before me. A criminal case will be opened against her. If there is a video recording of the threats, I will demand it.”, – said the lawyer.
Because of these threats, his protégé has already received protection.
“We applied – and he was granted”, — noted Sulima.
He also reported that Zinchenko is being held in normal conditions, but did not specify his whereabouts. The lawyer did not rule out the possibility of Zinchenko’s release from custody, since there is no direct evidence against him.
Sulima emphasized that the behavior of his client does not correspond to the typical behavior of a murderer. “He did not run away immediately after committing the crime, but stayed in Lviv for two more days,” the lawyer noted. In addition, Zinchenko did not hitchhike home, but went “under camera” to buy a ticket to the Dnipro.
The true circumstances of the murder and Zinchenko’s involvement continue to be investigated, and the suspect’s defense insists on his innocence and lack of direct evidence.
