In order to protect the economic security of Ukraine in the conditions of martial law, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) launched a large-scale campaign to combat economic crimes. Since the beginning of 2024, the SBI has already investigated 165 criminal proceedings in this area, exposing 47 cases of possible pressure on business by officials.

On other 118 proceedings:
- in 15, 65 persons were notified of suspicion; of them, 4 criminal proceedings were sent to court with an indictment;
- at 11 – it is planned to end the pre-trial investigation in connection with the appeal to the court with indictments as soon as possible;
- 7 criminal proceedings were closed on the grounds provided for in Article 284 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine;
- in 5 criminal proceedings, the jurisdiction of other bodies of pre-trial investigations was changed.
- pretrial investigation is ongoing in 91 criminal proceedings.
