A fight broke out in the Verkhovna Rada between MPs Honcharenko and Hetmantsev (video)

In the Verkhovna Rada, there was a fight between people’s deputies Oleksiy Honcharenko and Danylo Hetmantsev, the cause of which was the so-called “soy amendment”. About this informs People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

According to him, the dispute arose due to a violation of the regulations, but he emphasized that the stand remained open at that time.

“The fact is that the hall rejected the “soy amendment”, but they tried to manipulate the regulations and pass it anyway.” Zheleznyak explained.

We will remind, on June 13, during the meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, an amendment to draft law No. 13157 was discussed, which provided for the establishment of a 10% export duty on rapeseed and soybeans. As a result, the parliament did not support this initiative.

Among the authors of the amendment are Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Development Dmytro Kysylevsky and Deputy Andriy Motovylovets. Kisylevsky argued for this decision by the fact that the introduction of a duty on raw materials will increase the volume of exports of products with added value.

At the same time, the European Business Association and the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council opposed the “soy amendments”, which believe that such initiatives will harm the agricultural GDP and do not correspond to Ukraine’s course towards European integration.
