A new round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US and Russia will start on February 17 in Geneva

The Ukrainian delegation has already arrived in Geneva to participate in the next round of trilateral negotiations with the US and Russia, which are due to take place on February 17-18. As Axios journalist Barak Ravid reports, US President’s special representative Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner also flew to Switzerland.

The head of the Ukrainian delegation and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov confirmed the Ukrainian side’s readiness to work and the start of the negotiation process.

“The Ukrainian delegation has already arrived in Geneva. Tomorrow We are starting another round of negotiations in a trilateral format. The agenda has been agreed, the team is ready to work. We look forward to constructive work and substantive meetings on security and humanitarian issues – to advance towards a dignified and sustainable peace,” Rustem Umerov emphasized.

On the social network X, Axios journalist Barack Ravid reported on the participation of American representatives in the negotiations.

“White House representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner left for Geneva to hold nuclear talks with Iran and peace talks between Russia and Ukraine”, wrote Barack Ravid.

According to the Flightradar24 project, Witkoff and Kushner departed Miami on two separate business jets that they usually use and headed for Geneva.

The new round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia in Geneva is expected to be a continuation of previous meetings, during which the parties discussed mechanisms for the cessation of hostilities, security guarantees and humanitarian issues, as well as the possibility of an energy truce.
