A resident of Sumy Oblast was exposed, who “gave away” locations of Ukrainian military deployments, calling for strikes on them

On April 8, a resident of the city of Trostyanets was notified of suspicion of treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), which is referred to in site Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to the investigation, a native of the Russian Federation, who has been living in Ukraine for a long time, cooperated with the FSB of the Russian Federation since the beginning of hostilities. He collected data on the location of Ukrainian military personnel on the territory of the Okhtyr district of the Sumy region, the number of their personnel and military equipment, and gave the GPS coordinates to the curator. He also called on the FSB to quickly strike the concentration of the Armed Forces according to the coordinates he provided.

Currently, the suspect has been remanded in custody without the right to bail by court decision. The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the SBU Office in the Sumy region.
