A Russian is suspected of murdering two Ukrainians in Germany

A 57-year-old Russian man is suspected of murdering two Ukrainian servicemen who were undergoing rehabilitation in the German city of Murnau am Staffelsee (the federal state of Bavaria).

Men aged 23 and 36 came to Germany to recover from combat wounds. On the evening of April 27, a soldier with multiple stab wounds was found near a shopping center. Medics and police were called to the scene.

One of the Ukrainians died on the spot. Another died from his injuries in a local hospital.

A 57-year-old Russian man is suspected of attacking Ukrainian soldiers. The police have already detained the alleged killer. However, the investigation is ongoing and the Bavarian police still refuse to disclose the details of the case.

“As part of the immediately launched search measures, a 57-year-old suspect was found and detained near the scene of the crime at his home address that evening. The suspect is a citizen of Russia. The exact course of events, prerequisites and motives for the crime are currently the subject of an investigation by the criminal police,” the statement said. Bavarian police.

German law enforcement officers called on local residents who witnessed the murder, or who have information about the circumstances of the crime, to immediately contact the police station.
