The restoration of Ukraine, according to the latest estimates, will cost approximately 500 billion euros. About this stated Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a joint meeting of the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission.
“When we talk about the reconstruction of Ukraine, it means that European companies can invest in such efforts. According to the latest estimates, the reconstruction will cost approximately 500 billion euros”Shmyhal noted.
He emphasized that this process can become a “magnumopus” (big deal) for Europe, contributing to the strengthening of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU. He believes that the implementation of such a large-scale project will require a series of actions from the European Union itself.
“Ukraine’s integration into Europe must be accelerated. We ask you to review the procedures and start the negotiation processes for all six clusters, according to which we are ready to do it. Ukraine is ready to move forward in order to reform and become a member of the EU, but this journey also needs your determination and political will.”, – stressed the Ukrainian Prime Minister.
We will remind you that earlier the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that about 700 billion dollars are needed to restore the country after the Russian invasion. He also emphasized that all partners of Ukraine who are ready to allocate the necessary funds will join this process.
