Additional helicopter groups will be formed in Ukraine to protect against Russian drones
Ukraine plans to create additional helicopter groups to combat Russian drones. This was announced President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the results of the meeting of the Stavka.
“It was determined how to expand the capabilities of army aviation to protect against drones. Additional helicopter groups will be formed, the head of state said.
Zelensky also emphasized that the authorities are working with international partners so that Ukraine receives more of the necessary types of aircraft.
“ There were reports on cooperation with companies – manufacturers of interceptor drones – maximum production volumes are required, added the president.
During the Stavka special attention was paid to the protection and restoration of energy. Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that the most difficult situation persists in the frontline and border communities.
“But despite all the threats, even in such communities of ours, we are working to restore energy supply and provide emergency opportunities to support people”, Zelenskyy emphasized.
Recovery was discussed separately in Odesa and the region, where, according to the president, “many mistakes of local leaders”. They also listened to reports on the situation in Kyiv and the region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Kharkiv region, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Poltava region.
“For every other region of our country, we have clear data — the necessary equipment, necessary works, necessary financing. Corresponding assignments have been made in each direction,” added Zelensky.
