All-Ukrainian financial literacy testing for adults has started in Ukraine

From October 31 to November 7, the National Bank of Ukraine will conduct the All-Ukrainian Financial Literacy Testing for Adults. The initiative is timed to coincide with World Savings Day and aims to help Ukrainians assess their level of financial knowledge and encourage further self-education in the field of financial literacy.

You can take the online test free of charge on the educational financial literacy portal “Harazd”. Anyone can participate, but the questions are primarily aimed at students, adults, and older people.

According to Andriy Pyshny, the Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, last year’s pilot project showed that the topic of financial literacy has become truly important for Ukrainians:

“Last year, for the first time, we offered Ukrainians a kind of “checkup” of financial knowledge, and this initiative received an extremely positive response. We put a special meaning into it: it is not about “ratings” or “scores”, more importantly, seeing your strengths and areas for development in personal finances. In fact, this is a simulator of real financial decisions. Here you can safely make mistakes in order to act confidently and rationally in life.”

The testing consists of 20 practical cases covering the topics of budget planning, savings, using financial services, and protection from payment fraud. After passing, participants will receive personal recommendations and a selection of materials to increase financial awareness.

In addition, participants who share their results on social networks will be able to take part in a draw for 20 gift boxes from the National Bank. Detailed conditions of the draw are posted at the link.

The testing is part of the implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Financial Literacy by 2030. The all-Ukrainian testing was launched by the National Bank in 2024 to mark the 100th anniversary of World Savings Day. Last year, about 52 thousand Ukrainians took part in it.
