Allies plan to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine in the near future: Scholz

In the near future, Germany will hold discussions with its allies regarding security guarantees for Ukraine. This was announced by Chancellor Olaf Scholz, informs Funke.
“First of all, it would be good if the war in Ukraine ended. But even then, we would still have to ensure a safe future for Ukraine.” – noted Scholz.
He emphasized that the allies will discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, as well as support for its army, which they will equip together.
“In the near future, we will discuss this with our allies. However, for now, such speculations are prohibited. After all, nothing is decided through the heads of the Ukrainian people. And we are still far from peace.”, – emphasized the chancellor of Germany.
It will be recalled that Ukraine is conducting consultations with Western partners regarding the possibility of deploying peacekeeping forces in the future. Volodymyr Zelensky believes that to ensure long-term peace in the country, it is necessary to attract 200,000 peacekeepers from European countries.
